  • Floating mount

BESTÅ floating on concrete, sand-lime brick or plasterboard — reinforced brackets for extra load.

  • Cables hidden

Power and HDMI cables run through the wall, back panel or a cable channel — no messy snake under the TV.

  • Drawers aligned

Drawers parallel to the millimetre, push-open tested, soft-close without a thud. Small detail, big difference.

  • Light integration

IKEA STRIPS LED with dimmer or motion sensor fitted inside the unit, cables finished out of sight.

  • TV bracket

VESA bracket separate or integrated onto the BESTÅ — tested up to the specified TV weight, screws checked.

  • Glass and wood

Glass or wooden fronts, push-open or classic handles — any configuration within the BESTÅ system.

On request

Includes wall anchoring, cable management and push-open adjustment. TV bracket priced separately on request — fixed price up front.

01 — Detail

Floating starts at the wall.

For a floating BESTÅ only two things matter: the right wall bracket and the right plug for the wall type. A plasterboard wall with only a cavity plug won't hold 60 kg; that needs a continuous batten or a screw into a metal stud underneath. We sound out the wall, choose the bracket, and only then lift the unit.

02 — Detail

Cables through the wall, not alongside it.

We drill a feed-through behind the TV and a second feed-through in the back of the BESTÅ, and pull power plus HDMI in a single loop. Nothing visible on the wall, plugs hidden behind a cloth inside the unit. The result is furniture without a dangling snake — exactly how IKEA shows it in the catalogue shot.

03 — Detail

Push-open is an adjustment, not a gamble.

A BESTÅ door that won't pop open, or pops out but doesn't click back, isn't faulty — it's a two-millimetre adjustment at the magnetic latch. We measure, test, and set each door so it opens with one light tap and closes with a finger.
